Guidance Services
| Please contact our school's Guidance Counselor, Kristin Thompson (kristin.thompson@cshk12.org), for more information about our school's guidance services. |
For those seeking higher education, we assist in the process by signing our students up for the ACT or SAT, assisting the students in preparing for the test, offering the college entrance tests, or finding the best place and time where the desired test can be taken. Our staff also assists students in their pursuit of grants, scholarships, and loans to assist in paying for college.
We partner with the local Careerline Tech Center for students who desire a career immediately following high school. There students may earn certificates in several areas including: cosmetology, office support/secretary, child (day) care training, auto mechanics, and home heating/cooling.
The most important guidance service we provide is the aspect of daily discipleship in the context of the student-teacher relationship. We have teachers and administrators trained in the basics of Biblical counseling to assist students and families who face difficult circumstances. Our classes are small enough that our teachers can enjoy a relationship with each student and encourage them spiritually.
