Band
Beginner, Intermediate, and Varsity Bands have a special place at Calvary.Students are equipped with musical training and life skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. They have the opportunity to play brass instruments such as trumpets, trombones, baritones, and tubas; woodwinds such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, or oboe, and bassoon; and a whole variety of percussion instruments.
Not only do the students learn how to play beautifully, but they also learn a vast array of musical theory, styles, composers, history, and the art of composition, themselves.
Bands perform at several concerts throughout the year, participate in Band Olympics, and gear up for an annual practice challenge.
